Eligible* driver partners and delivery people in Australia and New Zealand who are active on one of Uber’s platforms can apply to be part of this amazing program to start or grow your other side hustle. Program runs June 1 to November 30, 2025.

In 2025, we have evolved the program.

This year, ALL eligible enrolments to the program will receive access to the online, self-paced course. Applications can only be accepted via the Uber Intranet.

PROGRAM FAQS:

Can anyone access the program?
No, the program is only available to people who drive on the Uber app or deliver on the Uber Eats app. To be eligible to participate in the Program, you must have completed at least 1 trip and/or deliveries using the Uber Driver app in Australia or New Zealand on or after 1 January 2023.
How much does the program cost?
The program is 100% funded by Uber, so there is no cost to you.
How far along does my business need to be before I apply?
You don’t need to have launched a business to participate in the Business Booster Program. The program is designed for people with an idea or who are early stage entrepreneurs.
Where will the program be held?
The program is 100% online, with the live Ask the Expert sessions being held via video link. These links will be posted in your Community pages and you will also be sent the link to join via email.
Do I need a computer to participate in the program?
No. While it is a better user experience to use a desktop, laptop or tablet, you can access the course on your phone. If you are joining a live Ask the Expert session, you will need a fast/strong internet connection.
How long do I have to complete the program?
The Business Booster Program runs until the end of November. The Pitch Competition opens 1 November and closes 7 December.
How many hours per week will I need to invest?
The masterclasses are approximately 2 hours each to complete, including time for the tasks and activities. There are 8 masterclasses in total available, and you can choose to engage in all of the content or a select number of the modules. How much time you spend implementing what you learn is up to you.
Do I have to complete every module in the program?
The online program has been set up so that you can choose your own learning experience and do any of the modules. However, if you want to submit a pitch for the competition to win a business grant, you will need to have completed at least 2 of the available 8 modules.
What do I get out of the program?
You will get the knowledge, confidence and connections to successfully launch or grow your business. You will also have the opportunity to pitch for grant funding to invest in your business. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a certificate.
How do I enter the pitch competition?
Submit a 5-minute video pitch online for the chance to win part of $50,000 in funding to grow your business. Prizes: 1st: $25K | 2nd: $15K | 3rd: $10K Key Dates: Opens 1 Nov 2025 | Closes 7 Dec 2025 Winners announced late Jan 2026 Open to Business Booster participants who complete at least 2 modules. Judged on clarity, business potential, passion, and how well you’ve applied your learnings. Details on how to enter will be shared via the platform closer to the competition launch.
Do I need to complete any tests or assessments?
There are tasks and activities for each module in the program, however they are not evaluated by Uber or Rare Birds. There is an assessment quiz at the end of each module so that you can track and test your learning. You will also be required to complete a feedback survey at the end of the program that will be sent in an anonymous report to Uber to evaluate and improve the program.
Will I meet other people who are doing the program?
All participants in the program have access to the Business Booster Entrepreneurs Community online noticeboard. You can ask questions and connect, access the live Ask the Expert sessions and receive other updates and resources.
