"Interns sit at my end of the office and see the team dynamics from the leadership end of the table. Rare Birds is a fast-moving ideas machine with a multi-skilled team. Our interns receive first hand view of the engine room."
- Lucy Perry, Executive Director, Inspiring Rare Birds
“Interning with Rare Birds was such a valuable experience. There was never a dull moment as I learned along side the team. I was exposed to a huge variety of communication, with my own projects to manage and I felt my skill set improving week by week as I observed and worked with the best in the business. I left inspired and much better prepared for a future role in comms. ”
-Mariah Edgoose, Media and Communications graduate, University of Melbourne.
“I learned more in my first week of interning, than I had in my previous year of work. I was immersed into the team on the first day and was able to work alongside each member of the team. The internship gave me the opportunity to see so much more about Female Entrepreneurship than I would ever be able to learn in a classroom. Being a part of this fast moving environment prepared me for a multitude of situations. I am so excited to take what’ve learned and apply it to my future endeavours.”
-Harlan Wilkerson, Aspiring Female Entrepreneur, California.
“My time at Inspiring Rare Birds has been truly life-changing. This dynamic, forward-thinking and socially impactful organisation has broadened my perspective as well as my skill set. From developing websites to promoting female entrepreneurs to interviewing women fighting modern day slavery, I could not have chosen to spend my time in Australia in a more productive or enjoyable way. Great for the CV and for the soul.“
