Lauren Beaufils

Ambassador Illawarra & Shoalhaven

Founder, Aetus

It is an absolute honour to be a part of the Rare Birds global entrepreneurial community. Being a Rare Bird Ambassador is about encapsulating the vision of empowering women from all walks of life to become remarkable changemakers. Together, we can help eliminate roadblocks, contribute to a supportive network and drive change for future female entrepreneurs.

Lauren's vision is to create economic development in regional Australia through leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship. After graduating from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2013, Lauren has been heavily involved in programs that not only empower young Australians, but youth across the world. Recently, Lauren represented Australia at the International Young Leaders Assembly in Washington and New York. She is also involved with organising the South Coast Youth Leadership Forum, a 3-day program empowering youths to become ‘change makers’ in their community. Lauren has also founded a company named Aetus, a watch brand focusing on creating quality mid-century modern timepieces. She upholds the strong belief that regional Australia is one of the best places in the world to start a business.
